The FCS H-2 is an older, highly disruptive surfboard fin model designed for maximum speed, drive, and maneuverability. Originally winning the Australian Design Award in 2005, the H-2 is known for its distinct elliptical shape and radical fin cant.
Key Performance Characteristics
- Radical Cant: The side fins have significantly more cant (tilt) than standard fins, keeping more of the fin in the water during deep carving turns.
- Speed & Release: Developed via scientific tank flow testing, the unique, raked-back shape and aluminum/fiberglass composite material were designed to reduce drag and boost acceleration.
Compatibility & Sizing
- The H-2 uses the original 2-tab plug system, not the newer tool-less click-in system. If you are using the modern plug style, you can use FCS Surf fin adapters to fit these older fins into newer boards.
- They were originally released in three sizes (Small, Medium, and Large) to accommodate different surfer weights.
