Designed in collaboration with legendary surfboard shaper Rusty Preisendorfer, this brand new Futures Rusty Medium 5-Fin Set delivers a versatile blend of speed, drive, control, and maneuverability. Built for surfers who want the flexibility to ride their board as either a thruster or quad, this complete 5-fin setup is ideal for performance shortboards, hybrids, grovelers, and everyday surfboards.

The Rusty template features a balanced outline with a slightly fuller tip, providing excellent hold through powerful turns while maintaining enough release for progressive surfing. The medium size is well-suited for surfers weighing approximately 145–195 lbs (65–88 kg) and offers dependable all-around performance in a wide variety of wave conditions.

With both thruster and quad configurations included, you can easily adapt your setup to match the conditions. Ride it as a thruster for maximum control and predictability, or switch to a quad for increased speed, projection, and down-the-line acceleration. Compatible with the Futures Fin System, this premium fin package gives you the versatility to get the most out of every session.
